After talking to a ton of people and waiting, Sherman finally made it to college with me. One of my teachers who was a little leary about Sherman coming at first, completely fell in love with him once she met him. She said he was the sweetest, most well behaved dog she had ever met. He has been so good and enjoys going with me in the morning. He has also gotten exposed to many new experiences. He gets a lot of people exposure on top of riding the elevator and getting a good workout on the stairs and then walking several blocks to get to our next class. Right now they are also constructing a building and doing road work through the middle of campus. At first he was not sure what they were doing, but now he could care less about what is going on. One thing that peaks his interest is that the cross walks beep and talk to let blind individuals know when to go. At first he could not figure out were the noise was coming from, but now he does and just looks up at it. He has been great from the first day about going in and lying down and taking a nap. My teachers forget that he is there, he is so good. I do believe that he is the most popular thing on campus. He has made friends with the security officers and with all of the Student Life employees as well as the Honor Society officers. We have to go see my friend who works in student life to visit and while in her office I take Sherman’s coat off for a quick petting from everyone. I think this is one of his favorite parts of the day. I thoroughly enjoy taking him to class with me and I know he loves coming, too.

Rain + dirt = Bath
It has been raining for what seems like forever, but really it has only been 2 days. Sherman was not happy that he could not go outside and play. So yesterday I let him out since he needed a bath anyway. There is one thing for sure, Sherman LOVES the rain. He had so much fun just running laps around the yard with his toy in the rain. It was so much fun to just watch him have fun. Ely went to look outside, took two steps out and then realized that it was raining and came running back inside.
After Sherman was finished playing, he got a bath. I don’t know where he hides the mud, but it was just pouring off of him. He is all nice and clean now and is so soft and smells a lot better!
Play date with his best bud
A few weeks ago, Sherman had a play date with his favorite buddy, JJ. They enjoyed playing and chasing each other. They were so cute to watch play. After they were nice and tired, we went out to lunch and then went to see Confessions of a Shopaholic. JJ and Sherman were such good boys. They both slept through the movie and when we came out people didn’t realize that there were two dogs in the theater. After the movie, they came back for round 2 and played till all they could do was play lying down. They were such good boys. Once JJ left, Sherman got a bath and then took a long nap the rest of the day. I know that Sherman is going to miss JJ, since he went in for training the end of February, but hopefully they will get to play when Sherman joins him at doggy college in April.

Sherman’s girlfriend
Sherman’s has a girl friend, Penny. Even though she only weighs half of Sherman does, they get along so well. Sherman will roll over on his back so that Penny can chew on his neck on top of him. They are so funny to watch them run together. Penny runs as fast as her little legs can go and Sherman is go graceful and looks like he is not even trying to run. They have enjoyed each other’s company since they met. Unfortunately, Penny moved to Maryland and is enjoying the snow. Sherman misses playing with her and looks down the street where she used to live every time we walk past it.
