Joe went bridesmaid dress shopping with my sister, my mom, and I yesterday morning. I could not have been prouder of my little guy! He was a perfect angel the entire time! We walked all over the mall for three hours and he behaved like a gentleman. I could not help but smile when Joe walked right past someone who was whistling at him. Of course, he walked by everyone without trying to go see them. Joe was such a good shopper and was so patient. He had some exciting and different exposures such as an indoor fountain, lots of strollers with babies and toddlers, and even a mirrored elevator. He enjoyed looking at the handsome puppy inside the elevator with him, but was a bit puzzled at first at why there was a puppy in the ceiling! He had a lot of elevator exposure, as the mall itself was only one story, but all of the big department stores had 3 or 4 levels. Joe was certainly interested in the escalators, so he should have fun learning how to ride them when he goes back to Southeastern.
He is better at navigating the busy food court than I am and never once went after any food on the floor (another proud moment!). He went right to sleep when we got to the table to eat lunch. Once we got home, Joe took a good nap while I headed off to work.

ReplyDeleteI just learned something! I never knew the leader dogs learned to ride escalators. I just assumed elevators were available everywhere in public places now with all the accessibility legislation.
